Following the success of our 2010 and 2011 climbs, the Telethon Adventurers are once again off to Chamonix France, this time to climb Gran Paradiso in Italy, while enjoying the best of France's food and wine. We plan to include other fun activities such as hiking, paragliding, and rafting.

Itinerary

July 8 Day 0. Arrive Chamonix. Overnight in Chamonix at Hotel.

July 9 Day 1. Meet the AC  guides in morning,  gear  check  and take the train to Montenvers, then telecabine to Mer de Glace, learn and practice snowcraft skills. Overnight in Chamonix at Hotel.

July 10 Day 2. Drive through to Italy and Gran Paradiso National Park. Trek to Chabod Hut with rope work revision on arrival. Hut night.

July 11 Day 3. Climb Gran Paradiso in the afternoon and descend to hut. Hut night.

July 12 Day 4. Descend from hut to the village of Pont and return by vehicle to Chamonix. Free afternoon. Overnight in Chamonix at Hotel.

July  13 Day 5. Via Ferratta excursion and tandem paraglide from the Aiguilles du Midi. Overnight in Chamonix.

July 14 Day 6. Full day canyoning trip. Overnight in Chamonix at Hotel.

July 15 Day 7. Mountain biking day trip on the trails above Chamonix or guided rock climbing. Overnight in Chamonix at hotel.

July 16 Day 8. Full day rafting. Overnight in Chamonix at Hotel.

July 17 Day 9. Depart Chamonix.
