Stacey holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Corporate Administration and Management), a Graduate Certificate in Management and is a Member of the Vice Chancellor's List at Curtin University. Stacey was awarded the 2006 Edith Cowan University graduate career award for the Western Australian Police.

Currently employed as a manager in the Western Australia public service, Stacey was granted unpaid leave due to her daughter Emily's terminal illness. Determined to honour Emily's desire to be a nurse, Stacey has commenced nursing studies at Notre Dame University, where she plans to specialise in paediatric oncology.

Stacey volunteers as Team Leader Mt Kilimanjaro 2011 as well as helping to coordinate and organise local fundraising events.
